I actually lived in a town once with an archaic law that said if a neighbor’s dog came on your property, you could shoot it and charge the owner’s a removal fee. Nuts right?
I literally used to get off the school bus and grab a gun as a boy. Until recently I went probably almost 20 years without feeling the need for one.
I remember being a boy that loved to shoot. My mother was from the city and I got her to try. The sheer noise was enough to scare her. The moment you shoot one you realize it’s not a toy. It should never be treated as a toy.
I was taught, only pull a gun when absolutely necessary and only if you’re ready to fire.
