I've dealt with plenty of suicidal people all my life. Sometimes all you need is to spend some time with them. But sometimes, the fire might've already been too close for them.. and that's the price of being sane in insane places. I've a friend's who's a great poet and writer - suffered the same kind of fate as well.

when you immerse yourself into a fictional world, i guess some get detached from reality. This could create a feeling of disorientation, driving them further down the suicidal road. Somehow geniuses seem prone to this, and it is sad that some take it to the limit.
