every religion tells to think and attain knowledge. i am muslim so i can tell about islam. there are a lot of verses.
Are those "who Know" equal to those "who not"?(Questions in surprise)
Seek Knowledge, though you may have to travel to china..(As china was very far away from Arabs lands)
O lord, increase my knowledge..(it is a prayer in Quran)
every one is rewarded for the efforts he makes.
Allah will exalt in rank those of you who beleive and those who have knowledge.

Do you understand the meaning of this statement - "I am a person of Faith . Not a person of religion " ... It means that no matter what religious tag you carry or community you are born into, you believe in the universal and basic core values of humanity . And believe that whatever name you give, Divinity is the same for all .
This is definitely not a discussion on religious texts and scriptures !!
