We all at one point or another in our lives go through frustration.
Sometimes it’s chronic, while at other times its depression whichever the case, the truth still remains that every human being feels frustrated at some point in their life.

We either feel frustrated over expectations that are not meet, or hopes that were turned down or disappointment over unpleasant circumstances in our lives.

As common as it sounds, frustration has the capacity to drive a man to insanity and suicide.

So therefore, we must be conscious when dealing with frustration or frustrated people because from my calculation frustrations of any type either self inflicted or not, has a very poisonous effect on almost everyone around it.

As ugly as it sounds, the good news is that it can be managed just like every other emotion, you can actually escape the poison of frustration through this very simple and easy ways to overcome frustration.

• ALWAYS BE PREPARED: the first step to handling frustration is to be always prepared. This involves being conscious of frustration and making necessary adjustment to prevent it from feeding on you.

And even if it eventually does, being prepared will help you know the best approach toward getting rid of it. So, always be prepared, not just over frustration, but over every other things in your life

• NEVER PUT YOUR HOPES ON THINGS THAT CAN CHANGE: This is where a lot of people fail it, they put their hope on variable things, and when it finally changes, they become really frustrated.

We should refrain from putting our hope on things like people, situations or events. Learn to anchor your hope on things that can’t change, like the word of God, his love and so on.

When we do this, we won’t end up frustrated at the end because they never fails nor disappoints.

• EXPECT MISTAKES: Everyone at a point in their life makes solid mistakes. So, no one is perfect yet. We are all working towards perfection.

So, expecting others or even yourself to be perfect in all things is same as making room for frustration because it’s not possible.

Whatever you do, do not expect perfection for if you capitalize on it, you will lose. Make rooms for mistakes and at the same time, learn from them and become better.

• AVOID BLAME: Most people think that when they are able to blame others for their wrongs, that they are free.

That’s totally wrong. Blaming other over anything at all do not take the fact that you are responsible over that particular thing away, rather it just keeps it out of your sight as of that moment but it will always pop up.

And if it is not handled, it will bring frustration. Learn to accept responsibilities over your wrong. Who knows, it might just be what you need.

• SET REALIZABLE GOALS: True is the fact that we all have goals, and also true is the fact that a lot of people set goals very far within their capabilities.

Though it’s good to aim high, it’s also good to watch your stand. Setting goals that are too high for your stand will end up confusing you.

And if it persists, it will lead to frustration. So, set goals that are not too far from your stand and little by little, you will eventually get there.

• PRAY: The last and the most important step, always pray. Believe it or not, prayers have a way of sorting things out. Involving God in all that you do is the single most effective way to avoid frustration.

These steps, as interesting as they appear, are just my own opinions. There are other steps out there that might work for you. Like I always say, I shared this because it worked for me.

So, if it works for you, congratulations. If it doesn’t, there are others out there. Find the one that best work for you, and take back control of your life.
