RE: The Ups and Downs of working from home: My experience working from home #1

in #life7 years ago

Good writeup @mutitum on working from home. I worked from home too and I loved it. Coincidentally my work desk is also placed right in my living room. Initially when I first started working from home, I too suffered from the same problem of having to explain to my neighbours why I no longer go out to work. I used to head over my office early in the morning and coming back very late at night after I hit the gym. After a while, they got used to seeing me working from home and they never questioned me again. In fact, they even brought me food since I hardly go out and prefer to just cook at home to save time and money.

The other downside is the difficulty of trying to explain to friends that i needed to WORK even though I am home based. They think that just because I am working from home, I don't work. So I guessed the mentality hasn't quite change for some individuals. Upvoted and followed
