Decorating my house 🏠 will be looking good 🎨🖌 hubby is working hard. 😁

I had a surprising day today, I wrote a post about hubby taking a weeks holiday to catch up on the decorating and hopefully make a start on our bedroom. I wrote in that post that it will be very surprising if anything gets done, he has taken holidays before then ended up watching a full series on TV as he had no motivation plus i have a tendency to procrastinate and hubby is just as bad. He started his holidays Thursday afternoon doing nothing all day Friday but did do a lot of talking and promising.

This morning hubby got up at 9 leaving me in bed, he then came back with my breakfast of bagels and coffee. Once I had finished them I had an extra hours sleep, he came upstairs to start working but saw I was asleep so went back to the TV until I woke up. He heard I had woken up so he grabbed his Mastic Gun filled with filler to finish of the walls making them look tidier before painting them, he hoovered, cleaned and filled everywhere. We then made a list of paints and decorating items he needed.

We managed to get most of the decorating materials to give the hall, stairs, bannister and upstairs hall plus all doors another coat of pain. We also need to take the handles off the doors to but the keeps, I bought black cast iron handles for all the door to match the Black bannister and hand rail. We need new keeps and a lock for the bathroom door. There is a lot to do before er even start on our bedroom. I think as long as we get the hall and stairs done so we can then order the stair carpet I will be happy.

ON TO OTHER THINGS

I received the email I have been waiting for, We paid the last of our debts off, we had a Debt Management plan to help us pay it off, that ended with hardly any conversation. I was buzzing about it, I have waited years to be able to feel like this but I had to hold back as thought I would get a final email, It arrived yesterday plus the account was shut so i couldn't log in, I squealed with happiness, we are officially debt free and this December we will be mortgage free so I expect there will be a few more squeals.

I also received my letter for hospital my new appointment for my MRI scan on my back to see what damage I did when I fell downstairs last November. They had to make sure I could use the MRI as had a retina detachment a few years ago, looks like its OK.

We are having lovely weather, its quite warm but this is going to end as we are expecting a storm to arrive on Monday, this will be perfect timing to get some painting done, we are even going to get Nichola's boyfriend to come through and help, he can stay over and I will feed him, the decorating will get done quicker.

That's me done for today, its been a good positive day with a good sign for the rest of the week. My house is getting done, I can't wait for it to look the way I want.
