Sriganti honey bird (Latin: Nectarinia jugularis) is a bird species of the Nectariniidae family, of the genus Nectarinia. This bird is a species of birds nectar Benalu, Noni, Papaya, Dadap, small insects, profit-lab and has a habitat in the yard, shrubs, mangrove forest.
Sriganti honey bird has a small body (10 cm), has a long taper and long beak, hot-blooded, and multiply by laying eggs.
Male: The lower yellow body is bright. Chin and purple black-purple chest. Olive green back.
Females: The lower body is yellow. Without black on chin and chest. Eyebrows are usually light yellow. Sliced brown, black beak, black legs. Often noisy in small groups, moving from one tree or bush to another. Males sometimes chase pacing fiercely.
A bag-shaped nest, of grass intertwined with cotton weeds, on low branches. The eggs are whitish, gray-white spots, 2 pieces of grain. Breed all year.
