SAVING A YOUNG LIFE | My story of saving baby kittens

in #life7 years ago (edited)

There was a heavy rain last night that had made damages in the neighborhood. Heavy flooding, branches of trees has been down and cut off. We just heard a loud crying voice from a kitten so we hurriedly went to the back yard. Then there was this female 'puspin' o pusang pinoy who just gave birth last night and we had no idea it had happen. We just saw her 3 newborn kittens, eyes were still closed, all wet from the rain last night, and still crying calling for their mother's presence.

We picked up the 3 kittens and and we have seen microorganisms going through its whole body starting from the ears. We thought that the kittens were slowly decomposing and will die eventually.

So what I did was I washed the kittens with water slowly to remove the microorganisms that are slowly eating their bodies.

I washed them one by one then placed them under the sunlight to give warmth to the kittens. Once the kittens are given warmth, they have bigger chance of living.

After they were washed, I applied a madre de cacao extract that could kill those remaining bacterias.

We also called their mother to have them breastfeed but it refused to feed them.

So what I did was I made a formulated milk for them and so they drank it.

After a few minutes, unfortunately the kittens didn't survived and passed away.

That moment was very disappointing knowing that I failed to save a young creature's life. The feeling of failure is very heart pounding.

What I have learned from this situation is that everything is worth a try. We might never know what happens next if we dont try to witness its future. I have learned that trying is not all about achieving success. If theres failure, then we must accept it. Trying may also be a part of out experiences because in what we experience, we always learn. Once theres learning and acceptance, everything will go together.

If you would encounter this situation, what would you also do? and have you ever saved someone or something? don't hesitate to share 😊

Hands up to all animal lovers out there like me! 🙋🏻🐾

Ohh My Lolly Cat :)

A female cat is called a queen or a molly.

Researchers are unsure exactly how a cat purrs. Most veterinarians believe that a cat purrs by vibrating vocal folds deep in the throat. To do this, a muscle in the larynx opens and closes the air passage about 25 times per second.

A steady diet of dog food may cause blindness in your cat - it lacks taurine.
