Recap 2017 titled- SELF WORK IS SEXY

in #life7 years ago (edited)

2017 has been a HUGE year for me. From leaving my position at a makeup school back in Minneapolis and a network of film makers who supported me...to selling everything I own, being on the road for a month and a half with my best friend @petererik and making our nest in California...

I have faced a lot of fears this year, gained numerous experiances and challenged myself with reflection and some serious self work...Ive torn myself apart and inspected every pocket of my being (which I highly suggest) and found many different fires I didn't even know exsisted.
December 2016, on the night of solstice, I made a decision, as I set a piece of paper in the fire that had a writing on it of something I wanted to "die" in myself that coming year (2017). I decided that 2017 was the year of self work. It was the year I was going to stop floating through life and really find my voice, find my passion and find a community that feels the same way. This was no easy feat...such a feat that the piece of paper I through in that fire?..I wouldn't even be able to tell you what it said lol I have moved so far past that piece of paper with a a word or two, to pages of thoughts on what id like to embrace in myself not only this year but for many to come and what I need to let die in myself to move forward as a clear minded, invovled and aware person in my community. so I ask you.. What are you embracing this year? what are you going to let "Die"? My list is below, Tell me yours in the comments!
