as i understand it you conclusion of 'what happens' Is Orphic/Gnostic which influenced or were influenced by Eastern philosophical ideas of transmigration. The idea that in order to ESCAPE the 'wheel of birth and death' one must lead lives of ever escalating merits of 'purification' until you go to a place of everlasting bliss.
But the one you have left out or do not know of is the ancient religion of the Great Mother where there was no desire to escape because nature and the body and changes were sacred. An eternal coming and going of diverse exploration of forms and experiences. This is the one I resonate most with

Awesome @julianoneill. Thank you for your reply. I appreciate and respect your view, 100%. I don't think there a place of everlasting bliss though, your evolution continues on 'the other side' (let's call it like that for the moment). 'The Great mother' as you mention it also appears in other religions and beliefs such as hindiusm and christianity. In the end we all talk about the same thing: Semi-devas, devas, angels and finally God. He's not alone, he's not ruling it by himself. He has 'the ones to help him'. All the best.
