I was wondering how on earth an average article like this can get so much money is just a few days? $344.78. It makes no sense to a noob like me and confuses my understanding of Steemit. Please can someone explain the logic here.

Holding stake gives a person voting power.
Those who do not want/need to use their voting power can sell it via bidbots.
Those who need voting power can buy votes...
Sometimes they get carried away...
If the community disagrees with rewards they can flag it. If they do this, they will remove the profit from the buyer.
If the community turns a blind eye, then everyone can just buy votes for any type of content that they like and it will be profitable.
