I completely agree with you on this one. When you look at the amount of time out of the workforce, the amount of debt incurred learning things that in many cases are outdated by the time you graduate a college education is a waste of time. Most of the people I know aren't doing anything with their education and haven't felt looking at it afterwards that it was a good use of time and resources. It's big business though and probably isn't going away anytime soon. If you are in a specific enough field and have the time and the money and really know what you want out of life at such a young age, awesome. If not I'd prefer the school of life.
