So far in her young little life much of her time has been spent at home with dad (me). However, that all changed today when she made her first appearance at preschool.
This may not sound like that big of a deal, but this was probably one of the biggest days of her young life. It was her first opportunity to really interact with kids her own age.
The following is a picture journey of Alessandra's first day of Preschool!
Here she is, getting some help from brother putting her backpack on...
Then it was time to pose for some pictures before she headed out.
Mom swooped in to put the finishing touches on her outfit...
Arriving at Preschool...
She was very excited to see what awaited her inside that building...
However, she paused for a bit when she saw some other people standing inside that she didn't quite recognize...
After some encouragement we got her to step foot in the building...
Again she wasn't quite sure what to do, so mom took her hand and guided her to her room...
The building was full of all kinds of new sights and sounds that kept her attention!
Once we got to her room, she met her very first teacher...
This would be her new play area for the immediate future... Her new friends welcomed her warmly!
Dad waved bye as he drove away for the day...
This was sent to me by his teacher giving me a glimpse of the fun she was having...
She's growing up so fast!
It seemed like just yesterday she was like a little potato barely able to do anything. Not even able to hold up her own head! Now she is off spending the day with friends... Time sure does fly by!
I can't wait to show her this little picture journey when she is older.
Thanks for reading this and for stopping by!
Live well my friends!

How adorable! Super sweet, and what a cool outfit she is wearing.
Haha, you can thank her mom for that! If it were up to dad I would leave her just in a long t-shirt most of the day...
The coordination of her outfit from her shoes to the hair accessory is fabulous. I think I need to get me that outfit in my size!
Haha I will tell her mom you approve! Maybe it comes in adult sizes... :)
That's great. What a big step! If you look at the research on early childhood development, pre-school is really, really important. I've known a lot of people who never were pre-schooled and they turned out fine, but it's good for her.
That is good to know. I haven't looked into that yet. I could see why though. It would help teach them many social skills very early on... surprisingly she seemed to handle all the new people and faces very well!
She's so adorable! I'm so happy for you man, wish you years and years of happiness with your beautiful family!
Thank you very much Adil. The kind words mean a lot! :)
Adil! It's great to see your face in here :) I've missed your posts and I hope to see one soon!
Beautiful post
Thank you!
You are welcome

Ah amazing. I remember when we took our daughter just over a year ago. She was really unsure about it and took a while to settle in but I'm no time at all she was fine. Now she loves it.
It is astonishing how the time flies. I like the term little potato its very apt!
Haha yes it is! Especially when she used to be all wrapped up in a little blanket with just her face visible... literally she was just like a little potato.
A cute little bundled potato, that's what i am thinking looking back at mine now!
Haha indeed! That is great that your little one eventually warmed up to preschool. I think mine seems to be loving it straight from the get go... we may end up increasing how many days per week she goes lol
That's excellent! Ours had the heebie jeebies for the first couple of months but after that mild stress it was plain sailing!
Great post! Nice to see something so positive rather than what I always seem to find on FB... Great work my friend, keep up the positive posts :)
Thank you! And thank you for the kind words! :)
Haha that is perfect and very true! Thanks for the laugh :)
As a preschool teacher myself, trust me. This cartoon is completely true. Hilarious!
Great step in her life (and yours probably :p). Btw, when is preschool starting in the US?
I believe around 3 years old. She is only 20 months old so it wasn't technically preschool... but don't tell her that! ;)
I promise, I will not repeat :D
Greetings, @jrcornel! Interesting, knowledge - providing post.
Thank you!
Well it looks like she did real well. My first day of kindergarten, I remember I was tearing up lol. BTW I followed you :)
Lol you remember your first day?
This is super adorable, how did it feel to part with your kid? Did you enjoy the time you had alone and got stuff done or were you moping around.
To be honest it was a nice break for me. I have been with her just about every second since she has been born with very few times apart. I love her dearly but it is nice to have a break from time to time. :)
Congratulations! Today was my daughter's first day too. I couldn't believe how quickly she ran in, took off her shoes, and disappeared down the hall. I haven't picked her up yet, but hopefully her day went as well as it started.
Haha that is funny. Doesn't sound like she was too nervous at all!
Oh my goodness, she is so incredibly sweet! I remember my daughter's first day of pre-school, she was also head to toe in pink, haha! How wonderful that you will have this post for her to see when she's older, showing her just how proud her dad is :)
Haha yes indeed! :)
