Glad you got a good family to take you in bud. My mom passed when i was 9, never knew my dad and my three brothers and i bounced around foster homes for years and eventually got broken up. We went between 9-15 years before seeing one another again. The homes we lived in were not good (until my last of course). We had one family that used the money they received for us on her kids and sold drugs from the home. One day the cops kicked the door in and that was the end of that stay. I personally went to 10 different elementary schools across 4 states. I felt like giving up and nearly killing myself a few times. But stayed focused. straight As, excelled in sports and... just lived man.

I only say all this bc there are a lot of really bad homes and bad people that foster for the wrong reason. If you are blessed enough (hard to say blessed when you are not living with your real family) to find a good, loving family then you must thank whomever it is that you look up to.
