The GOLDEN RULE. Treat Others the Way You Want to be Treated.

How many people actually follow the Golden Rule or even know what the Golden Rule is, which is a Universal Rule that is so powerful and yet so simple.

This Golden Rule is found in many different religions, cultures, secular philosophies, ethical systems, indigenous traditions, and mathematical sciences. It possesses moral authority and reveals unity in the human experience.

This is the principle moral ladder for humankind all over the world, the foundation of truth underlying morality.

The Golden Rule is the most universal ethical principle in history. The most general and concise principle of ethics.

There are 3 forms of the Golden Rule:

POSITIVE: This pretty much means what it states. If you want people to treat you with nice and with respect, then you should be nice to them and respect them.

NEGATIVE: If you do not want people gossipping about you or being mean to you, then you shouldn't be gossiping or treating people in a mean way.

EMPATHIC: This means that when you say mean things about others or wishing something upon others (good or bad), you are actually wishing this upon yourself.

It is sad to see that a lot of people do not follow this simple and so powerful rule. This is should be our priority each and every day. Can you just imagine what the world would be like if we all lived by this simple rule?

I mean really. What about this simple example: Forgive others as you would like to be forgiven. This is probably one of the toughest one to do. I mean we all make mistakes, but for some reason when others make mistakes we do not like to forgive them that fast if ever, but when we do it, we make excuses for it and think that everyone should forgive us. And a great example for this is driving in traffic, where people are so impatient with each other.

The Golden Rule applies to all of these, which are all mentioned in the bible.

"Do unto others as you would like them do unto you"
Luke 6:31

"A man reaps what he sows"
Galatians 6:7

"Love your neighbor as yourself"
Matthew 22:39

"Give and you shall receive"
Luke 6:38

"For the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you"
Matthew 7:2

" Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not and you will not be condemned; Forgive, and you will be forgiven"
Luke 6:37

We need to follow and exercise this Golden Rule by putting ourselves in our neighbor's place and only then we can guide our behavior accordingly. You heard that saying "Put yourself in their shoes", which is exactly what we need to do in order to not judge and understand why people act or do what they do.

I don't know about you, but this is something I try to live by, but if we do not do this on purpose and decide every morning that this is how we are going to go out in the world, the chances are we will get angry and frustrated and say something not very nice or act not very nice and that is how easy and simple is not to follow the rule.

I am a great supporter of @familyprotection who is working very hard to help the families stay together and this project is the most amazing project that I would suggest for everyone in this hive community to check it out and support it and by doing it we are helping people in need who are trying to keep their kids safe from being taken away (kidnapped) by the Social Services.
