Are You Still Enjoying Your Life During this Season? Or Are You Feeling Stressed and Depressed?

in #life5 years ago (edited)

How is everyone doing? Is everyone keeping healthy, happy and enjoying their lives even in this tough time? Or are you scared, stressed, depressed and really uncertain of the future, with all that is going around the world, which really is terrible, scary and very serious, since too many people are losing their lives, which is very sad and my heart and prayers go to all the families.

I have been of work now since last Friday and today, my husband and my son also stayed home, which looks like the autobody shop they work in will be also shut down this week.

What is going on around the world is sad and heart breaking, but I have made a choice not too give too much of my energy, if any to this horrible virus because if I do, it would probably totally destroy me. It has stolen some of my energy already, but I had to put a stop to it, by not listening or watching the news, by not staying away from social media, or at least not paying much attention to the virus posts and I will keep it that way, at least in the beginning of my day. I get to hear all about it from others, and that is good enough for me, if I want to keep my insanity and not be heartbroken for all of the people who have lost their lives or are battling the virus.

What I do instead is first thing in the morning I would meditate and pray and think on purpose about the positive things in life and happy life. I would start thinking about all the things I am grateful for.
No social media, in the morning.

It is hard to stay positive, and happy and hopeful with everything that is going on, but that is why I had to make a choice to take all those negative things in and feel stressed and depressed and let the virus beat me, or fight back and concentrate and take in only the positive things in life, and keep on enjoying my life.

We all know that stress, and feeling depressed is the biggest enemy to our immune system. Nothing destroys our immune system like stress. We also know that to keep all kinds of sicknesses and viruses and diseases we have to have strong immune system.
And that is something I have been working on for a while now, but not being very consistent, not because of the choices I made but because of the circumstances we were in. But no matter what circumstance we were in, I would always try my best to keep my family's bodies healthy.

I will share exactly how our family is keeping our immune system healthy and strong in my future post, hopefully by Thursday or Friday.

In these tough times, I still try to look for the good things, because I refuse to concentrate or give in to the negative and the more I practice that, the easier it gets, and after few years of practicing this it really just comes naturally to me now.

Things we can be grateful for while being pretty much locked in the house are:

  • Spending time with family, which I love (always wanted to be a stay home mom)
  • More than anything, we are now paying attention and learning about our health and how to keep our immune system strong which is the most important thing in life, but with work and life so busy, we forget all about our health and our overall well being,
  • Perfect time to start meditating if you are not doing it yet
  • Perfect time to slow down and relax which again is almost impossible while working
  • Get enough rest/sleep
  • Perfect time to start reading some productive, learning/teaching books/audios/classes/courses/ about happy, healthy, prosperous life, something that can improve your life and you will keep on growing
  • Our beautiful Earth is cleaning up which really opens up our eyes what is going on around us and that it is not just about us, but our beautiful earth, our nature
  • We realize what is important in our lives
  • We can work on our dreams and the things we enjoy
  • We keep our homes clean, which I love doing
  • Have more time to do some exercises at home, to feel more energized and strong and healthy
  • Enjoy nice relaxing walks in the sun to get some vitamin D, which is also very critical for our healthy immune system, but I understand some places/countries you are restricted to be outside in nature.

Would love to hear some more positive suggestions,

It's concerning, but what do we know? We just have to live with hope in our heart and soul. The world is in chaos but eventually things will turn out good

I believe things will turn out good also because God is good and he will protect us and deliver us from all of this craziness.Yes. I totally agree with you @josediccus.

The world realized now why they need to be spiritual and unity is strength. Everyone is praying for all. May Almighty bless us with permanent cure of this asap.

Yes. It is sad that most of the world became spiritual only when in need or when afraid, but I'm just glad that at least in these times the world is praying for one another.

You said it, @globetrottergcc, May God Bless us all.

Hard times have come but now at least people need to finally start to think more seriously about themselves and their health.

I know right? Maybe there are more good things coming out of this whole sad situation and peoples eyes are opened to what really is important in our lives.
