experiment with microcontroller

in #life7 years ago

this is the result of the lab work we do today. we Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic students are trained to be able to make minimum system and demanded to be able to program it with a certain level. in this case we make a temperature sensor reading room.

Micro controller (English: microcontroller) is a complete microprocessor system contained in a chip. Microcontrollers are different from the versatile microprocessors used in a PC, because in a microcontroller generally also contains a minimal microprocessor system support components, namely memory and I / O interfaces, while in the microprocessor generally contains only the CPU.

Design of embedded Edit

Today's computer systems are mostly contained in other equipment, such as telephones, clocks, home appliances, vehicles, and buildings. Embedded systems typically contain a minimum requirement of a microprocessor system that is memory for data and programs, as well as a simple input / output interface system. Interfaces such as keyboards, displays, floppy disks, or printers that generally exist on a personal computer just do not exist on a microcontroller system. The microcontroller system does more important simple jobs such as controlling motors, switches, variable resistors, or other electronic devices. Often the only form of interface that exists on a microcontroller system is just an LED, even this can be eliminated if the demands of power consumption require that. [Need a reference]

More solid integration Edit

Unlike the all-purpose CPU, microcontrollers do not necessarily require external memory, so microcontrollers can be made cheaper in smaller packs with fewer pins.

A microcontroller chip generally has the features:

central processing unit - from simple 4-bit processors to 64-bit high-performance processors.
input / output network interfaces such as serial port (UART)
other serial communication interfaces such as IC, Serial Peripheral Interface and Controller Area Network for system connection
peripherals such as timers and watchdogs
RAM for data storage
ROM, EPROM, EEPROM or Flash memory to store computer programs
generator clock - usually a RC resonator circuit
analog-to-digital converter
History of microcontroller Edit

The popular microcontroller was first made by Intel in 1976, the 8-bit microcontroller series Intel 8748. The microcontroller is part of the MCS-48 microcontroller family. Previously, Texas instruments had marketed the first 4-bit microcontroller TMS 1000 in 1974. The TMS 1000, which began in 1971, was a microcomputer on a chip, complete with RAM and ROM.

Hi, your post has been very nice. I am ready to vote and comment on all of them and hope you vote and comment. My steem id link https://steemit.com/@zarzish

Your work is great how much time did it took to build the microcontroler;)
