Snow is so magical to kids! One day there was grass and a colorful landscape, the next morning it is covered in a blanket of white! It is interesting for us adults to think about this from the perspective of a child!
Each one of my kids have responded differently to their first experience with snow! Each of them were curious, one jumped in ready to play, another honestly cried and hated it, and my little babe just looked everywhere at it. Here she is 8 months old and she is looking around able to tell that the world looks different! Whether she sees in color or not, whether she knows what the snow is... she is seeing and responding like something is different!
It is interesting as a mother to have the testiment that children truly come with their own personalities! I can raise them the same, attempt to mold them the same, but each of my girls experienced their first snow before the age of 1-years-old. Before the age I could communicate with them, and each one responded in their own unique way! There are so many examples of this I can share, but what I love most is spending time as a mother to get to know my children individually!
My oldest is enraptured with snow, which is funny to me because her dad and I don't usually takes her outside to play in it. Minnesota is just too cold!
