I remember gingerbread houses from when I was a kid.
We used to build them somehow and then we would ice them and put little candies all over them.
They were one of the coolest things ever.
You never hear about anybody making a gingerbread house nowadays though.

I think people probably just don't have the time these days.
Today I was at my local grocery store though and I saw a kit to make gingerbread houses with.
To be honest I don't remember how we used to make them.
I don't remember if there was some kind of kit or if we somehow made them another way.
It's sad to think that kids today turn off and get to enjoy the same pleasures that we did when we were kids.
Making gingerbread houses is a lot of fun.

I thought about buying the kit and trying my hand at it but I have a feeling it wouldn't have come out very well.
Never. I've never even seen one before, except on TV.
I made one last year. It was a lot of fun, I baked the parts from scratch but I know you can also buy kits to help especially around this time of year

Yeah there's nothing in a gingerbread house that will hurt you.
Thanks for reminding me of gingerbread men! (or is it gingerbread people nowadays?) anyway the chef in this house makes them often for the kids but he's never attempted a gingerbread house, there you go - a challenge. If he takes me up on it and actually makes one I will post a photo. Not until the New Year though, we've only just got over our Thanksgiving feast.
Gingerbread men are awesome. That's really cool that the kids get to eat them often.
