En las dos composiciones se muestra la fuerza y direccionalidad de un encuadre. El fondo con sus colores sencillos, pero poderosos y sus trazos casi violentos, tempestuosos demuestran una fuerza activa que es contrastada por la parsimonia, y serenidad de los caballos. siendo estos esa calma en la tormenta.
