The Shaman asked me if I wanted to do some deeper work this time around...

I said yes. Last time, he had only given me 5 dots of the resin. This time, he did 7. Yikes.

At first, when he was starting to burn the dots into my skin with the incense, I was questioning whether it was a good idea to do that many. The experience was pretty intense last time, even though I had felt like I had a lot more to purge, and I wasn't sure I wanted to put myself through that much pain. I trusted him though. I'm still trying to figure out why I trust him so much. I barely know him, and yet he brings about this state of calm within me. And so I didn't protest as he started to administer the Kambo, this time on my upper arm (which would also make it more intense). It was time to go to work.

Last time, it was about 45 minutes that the medicine was working. This time, it was closer to an hour and a half. I could feel it going much deeper though and I purged a lot more. I took a picture this time...

It's important to note that I had been fasting since the night before, so this stuff was not just parts of lunch.

I was still pretty swollen this morning (this is lymph accumulation due to an inflammatory response), and very emotional. When I woke up, I just felt like I needed to cry, and so I did. Evidently there was some emotional stuff that didn't get released with the physical stuff last night and was still working its way out. I knew it would be a good idea to hit the gym and get the lymph moving even though I still felt like absolute garbage, so I forced myself to do a HIIT circuit. I always find that it's the times that I really don't feel like moving that it's important for me to move, even if it's just a little bit.
