5 Reasons You Should Visit Your Mom Today

in #life8 years ago (edited)

Life gets busy and we lose track of what really matters from time to time. Your mother let you suckle her nipples and rest in her belly for months, and she deserves the world. I've compiled 5 reasons you should visit your mother today.

5. There Might Be Good Leftovers At The House
Everybody loves food, and since you have eaten your mothers cooking throughout your life you have become conditioned to love it. Weather it's the pancakes, the homemade pizza, or the Chicken Alfredo, you know the woman makes some bomb food.

4. She's Filled With Life Experiences
Your mother has been around a lot longer than you have, and thus has much more experience than you do. Allow your mother to share her wisdom with you so you can be a more productive and helpful individual. You know the saying, If something isn't going how you like, go back and do it how mom told you to do it in the first place!

3. It Will Make Her Happy!
Your mother loves you, and she loves to see you. Visiting your mother will bring her happiness and a sense of satisfaction for having created such a wonderful individual. As we age we start to focus less on our careers and hobbies and more on spending time with the ones we love, truly cherishing the moments we have with them.

2. You Love Her!
I know this one may be hard to believe, You selfish bastard. You love your mother even more than SteemIT I bet! And that's all the more reason to go say hello and see what the ol' gal is up to today. Help her plant some flowers or roll some dough, you'll be happy you did.

1. We only have so long with the people we love the most, cherish it!
Be it your parents, grand parents, cousins, uncles brothers fathers girlfriend, or your significant other: We never know when it's our time to go! Cherish the moments you have with the ones you love, Because when it's all said and done, they are the ones who really matter and will be there for you through thick and thin. :)

Definitely calling my mom today, hahaha.

Nice article. This just reminded me of how much I love her, how much she helped me. My mother just died last july because of cancer and I really miss her!

I live overseas but I'll call her tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder :)

Reason 6: She just might need some company. As our parents age they start losing friends and other loved ones. While you may have an endless supply that may not always be the case. Get out there and appreciate your parents while you have the chance, as some day in the future they will be gone too. Give them company, and return the attention they have given you while you grew up.

Another very good reason! Plus our parents are pretty cool in most cases, they have been through what we have and more. :)

Inkha! What a sweet post. I live 3,000 miles away from my momma and I miss her every day. Thanks for giving me some more reasons to save up for a plane ticket ASAP!

Thank you! Glad you liked it :) Hope you get to reunite soon!

Really good post tbh. Now I feel bad . Makes one re-think things :/ lol ...
