Thoughts On How To Live A Balanced Life

Imagine 'Slacklining' on a tight rope suspended from tens of feet above the ground in front of a crowd of thousands holding their breath with all eyes gleaming right on you. You hold a longbar to maintain support, but you must do more than simply walk. On your shoulder you're balancing a chair with a long rod placed on top of it. If any of those items get off balance, you must stop and re-position yourself before you can continue to move along the rope to the other side.

This phrase summarizes my interpretations of life, we are always just a one mistake away from a fatal disaster. We constantly try to push forward with all our might, determination, courage and purpose to achieve that goal which we seek to accomplish in our short time here, all while maintaining balance in a dozen other things which are all equally important to move forward. We have to focus our energy into all of those items, yet keep a sense of balance and align them so as to move forward without any of those things pulling you down.

I've complied a list of things to conside, right at this moment, to find your place in your own life.

1) Look back on times that have passed. How pleased are you with everything that has happened? Do you feel exhausted? Do you feel lost? Do you have a purpose you set for yourself that you're working towards? Asking these questions are vital to align your mind and prepare for the future.

2) Compartmentalize your life into smaller portions and divide those individual sections into smaller tasks which you can keep track of on a daily basis. Humans are instant forgetters, no matter how diligent you think you are, this method has been proven to work for a lot of people. And make sure to stick to the tasks that you create with a clear vision.

3) While you're setting tasks make sure that each individual task is realistic both in time and effort. You can't expect to finish a year's work within a month and even if you could it would be a huge toll on your body and mind. This applies to your relationships, mental health, spiritual development, work, finances and entertainment activities.

4) Be willing to take calculated risks. Taking risks that are well thought out would broaden your horizon on what life is all about. This would also help you in prioritizing on things that are truly important to you and would also help you break away from constraints that influence you in a festive way.

Following all these tips would give a great clarity and would help you decide how you want to structure your life and find a balance that is right for you!
