That was a link; Spank Chain https://spankchain.com.. mind blown too! :)
I wonder how these platforms will handle copyright issues...
Will be interesting to see, I feel we are already leading by example with our own @cheetah bot and @steemcleaners efforts. Vice team have been getting a lot of advice from watching our evolution and they said that @Ned has been really active and helpful in their development.
Seeing all the other xxxtubes , for research reasons of course , I donโt think they have the rights for all the videos . Maybe being too strict will hinder growth . Anyway we will see how this develops . Cheers
Actually you'll be surprised now how the tube model has evolved. There are a number of "legal' tubes now, producers have had their hand forced across the industry. It's actually quite a sad story to know from the inside.
Absolutely in the beginning it was pure piracy and often much of it still is. However, around 2012 the tubes were setting up deals to "feature" partial content and drive traffic through affiliate links to said subscription sites. It was all very mafia style, you either did the dirty deal or you faced having your content in it's entirety being pirated anyway. That's why there is still so much disgust with those behind the tubes like Mindgeek in it's various forms and names.
Anyway, the idea is that VIT is standing for producers and will enforce a strict model release policy. I see it as if you don't have the model releases then you don't get the rewards. If there is pirated content it will easily claimed by it's original producers if they are on the platform and if not then rewards could be burned. That's one solution. I would doubt very much they will be accepting content uploads without these basic requirements, decentralized or not, no one wants to be hosting illegal content with minors for example.
I'm following the development closely and like you said we will see.
Ok. Thanks for the info .
