WHAT DO YOU SEE?

in #life7 years ago

Vision is basically the faculty or state of being able to see. As individuals, as organizations and even as nations, the term vision is commonly used when discussing issues about our lives and our future. Many times we are told an essential key to succeeding in life and with life’s varying projects is to have a vision.

Many people talk vision, many organizations, in fact, have vision statements, but in my opinion many people and businesses today, run daily as such a one without a vision.

Many people like to talk smart, many people like to sound as though they know what they are talking about, so when they hear a profound word like vision, and know its rated high especially in quarters that matter and with people that matter, they quickly adopt and use within context and sometimes even out of context.

Many of us have talked about vision, have a mindset about vision, have perhaps, discussed and made presentations on a vision plan, but the big question this morning is, do you have a personal vision for your own life?

Many people talk vision but are not inspired, driven or guarded by any vision for their personal lives. Many people have no vision because sincerely they do not even understand personal vision.

Many, as a matter of fact, confuse goals with vision, many people assume buying the fancy car, getting the plum job, buying the beautiful home, marrying the lovely spouse and earning the big income is what vision is.

Many also believe starting the business, building the business and making good profit is what a vision is all about, this is also not the exact case.

In fact, there are still many people who confuse purpose with vision. Your purpose in life is not your vision in life. Your purpose is basically the reason why you exist, it’s the problems you’re in this world to solve. Your purpose is how you’re designed and equipped to bring solutions to a particular humanity challenge in life and by so doing, earn great reward and respect from humanity and your maker. Your vision, however, is a very clear mental picture of your future self. Vision is a singular term, not a multiple term. You can’t have visions of you, you can only have a vision of you because you are but a single entity.

Dear friend, who will you be in 10, 15, 20 years from today? Who are you daily, working hard to turn out as? Who are you working very hard to emerge as in the future? What is the mental picture you have of yourself in a decade or 2?

The purpose of a caterpillar for instance, is essentially pollination and food web involvement. But it’s vision is to become a beautiful butterfly in the future. Fulfilling vision makes purpose possible.

It’s a common saying that where there’s no vision the people are destroyed. Truth is, it is not usually a physical destruction; it is usually a waste of destiny.

A visionless life is a wasted destiny. A life without a vision is of a person who throughout his or her lifetime made no personal effort or commitment to become what they are meant to become in life simply because they had no clue who they were, who they are and who they are to eventually become.

When you do not know who you were, who you are and who you can become, perhaps, your days are passing you by and your destiny potential remains untapped, unassessed and un-used.

For the sakes of clarity, your destiny is the plan, program and assignment of your maker for you to execute while you’re in this world. Without a true vision you can’t even see your destiny, understand it, interpret it and fulfil it.

My dear friend, who are you? I’m afraid, it is not a simple question to answer because who you are is quite different from what you are. A doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, a farmer, an accountant, a wife, a husband, a governor, and so on and so forth is not who you are, it is what you are. What you are does change time and time again and you’re usually not born with what you are, but who you are is the core of your person and purpose; it is your destiny call and this remains constant and consistent no matter what changes in your life.

Essentially in life, your purpose, your natural design and reason for existing should form the bases for developing a vision for yourself. Your vision is who you’re to become in order to perform your purpose successfully.

The almighty creator created all living things to grow into the full stature of their potential and thus fulfill their purpose at maturity. The almighty puts in every living soul the potential to grow and then gives a commandment to manifest. Manifesting is emerging gradually into the full stature of your complete powerful self in purpose, talent, capacity, and ability to fully perform in destiny.

Dear friend, who were you, who are you, who are you to become, do you have that revelation? That self-revelation is the master key to your personal vision in life. Who will you be in a decade, in two decades, do you have any idea?

A true vision is the ability to think about and plan your person in the future with imagination and wisdom. True vision is about wise imagination, images…imagination, creating wise futuristic self-images in your mind for progressive manifestation until you come into a full stature of your true self.

What picture or image of yourself do you see in a decade or two? Without a vision, you can’t have a precise direction in life. Without direction, you can’t know where you’re going or how you’ll end up. When there is lack of vision and consequently lack of direction, you will lack innovation, inspiration, inventiveness, foresight, far-sight and discernment, and your everyday life could become very difficult and confusing.

Without vision for direction, you’ll develop a suboptimal mental altitude that will lead to a mediocre life attitude that makes you see and rate yourself much less than your true self and potential hence; envy, strife, anger, bitterness, complain, blame game, frustration and exasperation would be common emotions you’ll feel and express in continuous sequence and waves.

You’ll mostly see your inadequacies and challenges as someone else’s fault. You wouldn’t see yourself as a problem solver or a solution carrier, you’ll feel like a victim and expect someone – anyone to take your own yoke on themselves and if they do not, or do not do it as you wish, you get angry at them and at life and you explode in rebellion against everything and sometimes, even your maker.

Dear friend, it’s time to cast your own vision in life. Who do you want to become? Should anyone wish to describe your whole life in one sentence by the end of your days what would it sound like? And don’t you dare say “he or she lived for God”, that is expected. Your purpose is not to live for God, living for God is your calling.

When you develop your personal vision statement, it gives you a reason to reason. You’ll consequently begin to carefully consider many things in your life, and make more reasonable, intelligent and useful choices in alignment with your mental picture of your future self.

With a vision in place, you will have a superior self-esteem and self-image, you will enjoy guided enlightenment, you wouldn’t just take anyone’s advice, no fake spiritual leader can scam you, no fake friend can fool you, and all friendly enemies will subsequently lose their hold on you.

Vision will help you reject exciting, compelling and tempting distractions in life, with vision and direction you can say no to strong distractions and detractors. Hence you will utilize your time well. You will become better organized, orderly and progressive in life. Jealousy, envy and vile competition will be gone out of your life, you’ll be happier and you’ll fulfill your destiny. Vision makes purpose possible. To fulfil purpose, you must have a vision. Without vision, destinies are wasted. Don’t waste yours, give a proud account to your maker, don’t live for greed, riches and material acquisition, live for purpose and assignment to humanity – live for why you’re in this world. Dear friend, birth today, your own true vision.
