I have a B.S. in hotel & restaurant management and my first job out of school was an assistant manager at a QSR. I can attest to the fact that the work can be extremely demanding and you are often serving customers who look down on you. All for mediocre pay and horrible hours! I delivered a catering order to a school one afternoon and came across a poster that read "skip now, flip later." I was very discouraged to see this as i had spent so much time and money to go to school for restaurant management! I agree with you, we should all be nicer to all working in foodservice.
