Venom #1 Limited

As many of us here on Steemit can be, I am a little all over the place. My art clearly reflects that. If you've been following me for any prolonged amount of time you will know this to be true. Both of my last two paintings are part of a four part series featuring 3 individual portraits and then a final piece utilizing all three portraits together. Being such a big project I had to break the work into pieces and truthfully have been bad about starting projects in the middle of this beast (an art pitfall you may be familiar with). Partially as a means of procrastination but also to simply change the scenery for a little bit. That is where the idea for this Venom Art project was born.

The concept is simple and honestly a bit of a reversion back to my childhood. You see as a kid I couldn't afford all the different trading cards and comic books that some of the other kids had. So I had to get creative. For me that meant creating custom art for other kids featuring their favorite superheroes or movie characters that I would then trade for actual comics and cards. An 80's kid has got to do what an 80's kid has got to do am I right?

Getting off point. The concept is to simply create a visual asset to use as an example for an upcoming post I have in mind. Demonstrating the potential for digital assets to replace at least a portion of the print industry, if we could only bridge the gap in creating a truly limited edition digital asset with a decentralized, open-to-the-public, pedigree. Something like "STEEMPRESS". Where digital assets like trading cards and comics or limited edition prints are just that. One of a kind! A place where artists could create original works that could then be sold, traded, owned, and tracked around the world. An art registry like no other to ensure art forever has a place in the future.

More on all that in my next post. Just know I have not forgotten about coming back to this project. Project Venom #1 is full STEEM ahead so stay tuned!
