I just graduated this May with a BS in Molecular Genetics! It is an extremely interesting and novel field, this stuff is hot off the press and ground breaking!
I love science and studying how the Earth around us works, but I am especially interested and trained in human, bacterial, and yeast genetics!
I know a great deal about genetic conditions, cancer, heredity, diseases, and microbiology.
I work closely with the microbiology department and know a great deal about common clinical microbes and diseases!
I would love to have discussions and be able to give some insight into areas of common misconceptions about bacteria, viruses, cancer, and other diseases! Oncology was a major focus of mine and as a result my ears bleed when I hear absolutely ridiculous claims about how cancer works and to what degree it is curable. I really want to give people some valuable information as it can help lead them away from harmful sources of information that could be detrimental to them in the long run.
Of course I am not a licensed expert or physician (yet), so I cannot give medical advice, but it is good to bounce ideas off someone who is trained in the handling and study of microbes, DNA, and their accompanying diseases!
Follow me for updates in the scientific community, critique of new scientific literature, debunking of misinformation, and of course for the opportunity for you to bounce ideas and questions off of me! I am really excited and I look forward to all of your feed back!
I will most likely be posting some of my favorite music and food along the way!
Thanks for your time!
Welcome to steemit. We look forward to you sharing your knowledge of genetics with us all. It's wonderful to have another educated scientist in the fold.
Salutations and Congratulations
