The vast majority of people live paycheck to paycheck but in these most recent times SUCCESS and FINANCIAL FREEDOM seem that much closer. With some persistance and effort Ill get there too. I hope you all enjoy this poem I wrote.
Born, bred, and educated to live a life dictated by a wage.
All of this, to end in the twist that we can retired at a predetermined age
Have values, ethics, knowledge, and do everyrhing that i'm told
Follow the prescribed recipe and a greater wage i will hold
Its a contract, its set, safety and security at its best
Have a pension, take the bet, join millions in a 30 year quest
Work a 8 to 5 trading my time for a dime while attempting to save or invest
Earning money 8 hours a day, recieving a biweekly wage only to learn that i can spend it in less
So knowing ive already traded 9, i give more hours of my time working a side line for a little more cheddar
Before i know it, my time has eroded and i start to feel that the poor might have it better
Snap benefits and low cost housing look mighty arousing as low income families have all the time to enjoy
But i followed the plan, busted my ass as a man and have been learning and working since i was a boy.
I find i cant trade any more of my time and am still trapped in a circle of debt
Who evers word that i followed must have been hollow because i dont feel.sucessful yet
So i kickstart my mind into over drive pondering what i need to achieve my goal
How do i begin to be financially free when a 8 to 5 is all ive known
Sure ive done door to door selling products instead of time
But what im looking to do is make a living and still keep what i have as mine
Thus far ive mentioned two possible roads of life
Be poor and live off of others or work that 8 to 5
There is a third road i havent ventured down but have been told of its interesting path
It appears narrower than the former and whats visible is a rocky boarder but those who reach its end tend to laugh
Laughing in disbelief that the slave chains have been broken and lost
Laughing at how success is before them, at an unbelievably affordable cost
But dont be fooled, the entrance to the path most denfinetly requires dedication and work
But once passed that they discovered the fact that the road offers a wider berth.
Limited only by your imagination, creativity, thoughts and desire
Ive been told this road can provide all the dimes i could require
With that said i say its time to resign from selling my 9 with this i must stand firm
Time to find my hustle and grind and put it to work on my terms.
