You are correct though, we shouldn't be afraid to be who we really feel we are inside. But in 2017 I still feel like we're oppressed by society. It's been really hot at work lately and they still send an email around the company "You must wear tailored shorts" blah blah.. it starts from a young age.. your parents will say things like "You can't wear that", "brush your hair", "they will laugh at you, go change". Children are the most impressionable and I truly believe we're conformed from day 1.
Some will break free from this, but I'm truly a conformist and this makes me sad.
Your post was great, it does highlight many issues.
Lastly, yes heels have their place.. this isn't one of them.
We are in the era in which the individual is awakening. Less and less people want to subscribe to one particular school of thought, which I believe is great and beautiful because it matters not the organization, company or political party or ideology at the end of the day Power Corrupts and the best defense against corruption is individual freedom.
