So its nearly the beginning of term/semester, and Im sure some of you are thinking 'oh no what should I take to start my new adventure?'
Well, I'm just beginning my second year and have collated a list of things I am taking.
Last year, my dad hired a whole van for us to take all of my stuff to university, 65% was not used, so this year I have cut down considerably and I think I almost have a perfect list!
Kitchen:
- Cutlery
- Plates
- Bowls
- Cups/glasses
- Sauce Pans
- Sieve
- Colander
- Frying Pan
- Scissors
- Baking Trays
- Jug
- Mixing Spoons and Sharp Knives
- Fish Slice
- Tupperware Boxes
- Oven Glove
- Chopping Board
- Things to do the washing up i.e. washing up liquid and tea towel
- Microwavable bowl
- Tin opener
- Cheese Grater
- Pizza Cuttter
- Whisk
Obviously if you're a bit more up together with your cooking, you'll probably have a bit more extensive list but this is pretty much just the basics!
Bedroom:
- Duvet set
- Mattress Protector
- Pillows and throws
- Mirror- full length or just up close
- Laundry Basket
- Door Stop (I really recommend this for halls especially the first few days!!)
- Stationary
- Stationary Holders
- Folders
- Diary/ Calendar
- Photos and other decorative pieces
- Printer
- All your chargers
- Speakers
- Iron
- Clothes!! You may need extra clothes i.e. business clothes if you do a placement like I do!
- Coat Hangers
Bathroom:
- Makeup
- Deodorant
- Hair products
- Towels
- Body products
- Perfume and aftershave
Other:
- Hair Dryer
- Umbrella
- Bin- you may already have one given
- Disinfectant
- First Aid Kit
- Extension Cable
- Head phones
- Ear Plugs, I know my walls were about as thick as paper so...
- Stash of goodies i.e. biscuits and chocolate etc
SO this is just a basic list of things to think about taking, you may find that you don't need all of this or you may find you need more. I just found it easy to create a list so I had all of my Uni Kit List in all one place and I hope you find it slightly useful too.
Let me know any other tips or tricks you have and what you might change to my list!
This is from one of my first nights out! :-)
