Quick and Easy ways to Lose weight!!

in #life8 years ago (edited)

A quick and easy solution to shedding masses of pounds in weight! But is it all it really makes out to be?

You cannot browse any social networking site now without crossing a way to get 'skinny' quickly, whether it be shakes or teas they are everywhere

Take this particular drink, mainly women across the globe with large audiences including celebrities, bloggers, you tubers etc., are continuously promoting their miraculous weight loss stories!

They all seem to claim:

This particular company alone has more than 33,ooo posts from prominently influential people, but theres not just this brands. There is:

  • bootea
  • skinny-tea
  • skinny tea tox
  • 7 day detox
  • slim bomb

and the list goes on and on...

But the real question is, do these drinks really work or are people just promoting so as to get easy money!

Take Youtube Trisha Paytas, someone I have followed and loved for years! Recently she has uploaded multiple videos about how she has lost weight i.e. dancing lots, changing her diet to vegan and most recently Flat Tummy Tea! You can watch it below, and more importantly read the heavy criticism she received for promoting..

As for this tea in particular, it is basically a laxative. I can only speak for the UK, but as a teen you are not allowed to buy laxatives over the counter for fear that you may project yourself into danger, like an ED.

SO, how are influential people with lots of younger audiences, being allowed to promote similar items that are considered dangerous to them? It is stated that the majority of teas, use a strong colon cleanser that causes: "strong laxative effect and it can cause headaches, diarrhoea, vomiting and dehydration,".

Something that is so damaging to your body, and strips you down at such a high level will not make you healthy, in the slightest way. Yes, it may make you skinny- for approximately a day or two, if you don't eat that is! As soon as you complete these 'detoxes' you're body will bounce back and cause the opposite effect on you!

Plus the drinks companies claim, that if you don't eat healthy and exercise they won't even work anyway!

Just think about it, you may trust people that you can see promoting the teas, but have you ever seen them actually drink it? Or maybe document their whole journey using the tea?

Whats more, once you get started with these drinks its very hard to stop. Your colon becomes reliant on them to go to the toilet every. single. time.

Some interesting research I found out was this:

"Did you know that because these teas are considered dietary supplements, they aren’t required to prove any claims on their labels? So even though they “claim” that drinking this tea will result in weight loss and a metabolism boost, there is NO published research to show that these statements are true!"

Fair play to the companies, they've bought their ways into impressionable lives with people they look at, see and inspire to be like every day- usually considered 'hot' 'fit' 'body goals' whatever it may be- and the companies money comes straight back, because who in their right mind wouldn't want to look like Kylie Jenner, and Vanessa Hudgens and all the other 'fitspiration' girls they see everywhere

Usually, with these types of things, if it seems to good to be true- it probably is.

Apart from steemit, that turned out pretty great actually!!

Let me know down below your thoughts and I'll come check your blog out- thanks for reading!
