Before all the rain we decided it would be a good idea to take Roxy out to the park across the road to play some Frisbee. Knowing that we would be spending the majority of the day stuck indoors from rain, figured some exercise for Roxy was in order. A tired dog is a good dog! While she was running across the snow running to catch the Frisbee and bring it back one of her nails broke and it came off exposing the sensitive nerve.
Poor girl.. we ended up wrapping in gauze with a tenser bandage and my sons out grown sock to hold it all on. Hopefully this protects it so she isn’t in too much pain walking around. She’s spent a lot of the day laying down resting which is very much unlike her. She is usually on duty closely observing the kids behaviour and doesn’t settle down until they are tucked into bed.
