When I feel depressed I listen to music. Watch TED shows and other motivating shows. Depression is the worst things can happen to a human. In the future try to come out of it in the same day. Keep yourself busy and listen to calming music.

I do the same thing. It helps me immensely. The thing is, depressing music with depressing lyrics actually makes me feel better. I'm not sure exactly why or how, but it does so more than happy, uplifting music. I guess that's just one of those things that makes no sense, but is what it is. I try to do what I can to pull myself out of it but sometimes it lingers for a while and I'm left to fight it, but I always win, even if I get demotivated and feel down for extended periods of time.
