Hello everybody!
I got couple question about my diets during contest preparation... So I want to write this post about what do I eat during my last week of the preparation.
First of all, I need to say that this diet is dangerous and I do it for 5-7 days, no more! With this type of diet, you will get in a state of total ketosis, which is not good for a long time period.
During this type of diet, the main goal is to empty glycogen stores as much as it's possible. Because of that the body will use energy from the fat and it will lead you to more fat loss and also, later at carbs refill it will be possible to eat more food and carbs and to look bigger and harder!
If I have competition on Saturday, I will start with this type of diet at least on Sunday.
My first meal of the day is always egg whites with some small amount of vegetables, without any oil, fats or carbs!
Egg whites have ~10 grams of protein per 100 gr, so I usually eat 500 grams of egg whites which is about 13-15 egg whites.
After that meal, I usually go to training. My training usually last for about 90 minutes. After that, I drink the protein shake and I'm going home to eat my second real meal.
Second meal and actually a lunch is usually fish or chicken with also some small amount of veggies.
It is very hard to follow this type of diet with almost 0 grams of carbs and fat for the whole day. Already after the first day of this diet, I already start to feel lack of energy, I'm starting to be very hungry and nervous. My body literally prays for the real food.
My next meal and that is a meal before my second training in the day is actually the same... Fish or chicken.
I usually eat fish for that meal because it is light for my stomach and I can do my training better.
Then training is followed after which I drink again my protein shake. The next and last meal of the day is fish again...
It is very hard to sleep when you are hungry... I often suffered from insomnia for days!
I want to say again that this is very hard and unhealthy diet which you can only do for couple days and that only if you compete and you know why do you do it.
There are many better and easier ways to lose fat and get fit than this.
