🍦➡️💶 Imagine you’re in your office, a collegue comes in and brings ice-cream! Everybody feels grateful and gives him 5€. Wait what?
🤝Before I joined my current company there was a similar system in place to reward your peers when they did a good job or they did you a favor.
🎟🎟🎟🎟At the start of the month you were given 4 tokens, each valued 5€. But you could not spend them yourself, you could only award them to someone else. The receiver could then redeem the token, if I’m not wrong, by buying something from the company.
💡While I never used such a system, it seems a brilliant idea. Some say that it can grow resentment, because the reason you receive a token or not is a bit arbitrary. Still I think it’s an interesting game if you don’t take it too seriously.
✊🏿There was a generalized opinion that re-enabling the system, even without an attached value, could be beneficial. I’m a supporter of this idea.
👍🏿If you think about it, this is exactly how steemit works now. When you vote someone, you give him value without losing any. Quite the opposite, you actually gain value if the post is actually worth it.
👉🏿👤 💭Recently I was reading the Smart Media Token whitepaper and I think it implements exactly this mechanism, but generalized to the kind of content that you like. It could be well suited to create a reward system for an office.
💰The builder of the system could monetize it by taking a small fee on a token basis or maybe by agreeing to a monthly flat payment to keep up the website interface and leaderboard of such a system.
❓What would you think? Would you be interested in having a reward mechanism like this in your company?
