Hype At Its Highest Emotion/Summer Camp Edition

There's a side of every individual that shows will and power to complete any obstacle for their peers.

We call these days Hype Days at the summer camp. This amazing competition completely stops normal camp for two days during the extended stay summer sessions. The camp is divided into two teams, split equally per cabin. Each team takes their side of camp and the games begin.

The time starts with a race, into a capture the flag game to start the morning. These students age from second grade to tenth grade. After lunch is an entire camp relay that every person participates in. This relay is the heart of the day and creates emotions in every individual from a mentoring stand point to a by standard. There's over 200 staff/students that are involved in this over an hour camp wide relay.

The end of the afternoon ends in a straight tug of war between their age groups, then the counselors get to have a turn also!

The night is summed up by a soccer of the top chosen 11v11 of the two sides. This becomes a camp wide cookout with everyone watching, Thursday Night Lights. The Winning team will then play the counselors that Sunday in another camp match. Soccer is a blast at camp.

Every event has a different point scale so no one ever knows who wins until it's announced that night in points. Then the entire camp comes back together and creates unity to a family again.
