The latest breakup got us thinking about the other men who have stolen the sexy singer's heart over the years and inspired a few of her hit songs, too.

From her early relationships and marriage to Russell Brand to her on-and-off romance with John Mayer, look back on Katy's dating history here.

1- Justin York

One of Katy's early relationships was with Justin York, a guitarist and the older brother of Paramore's Taylor York. They dated when Katy was 17.

2- Matt Thiessen

Katy dated Matt Thiessen, a guitarist for the Christian rock band Relient K, from 2003 to 2005.

3- Johnny Lewis

Perry dated the Sons of Anarchy actor from 2005 to 2006, just one year before her singing career took off. Years later, Lewis died at age 28 after falling from a rooftop in September 2012.

4- Travie McCoy

Perry and the Gym Class Heroes frontman dated from 2007 to 2008. When MTV News asked the pop star how she felt about her split from McCoy in early 2009, she suggested that her love life had taken a backseat to her burgeoning career. “Well, it’s a new year, and I’m very focused,” she said at the time.

5- Russell Brand

In a whirlwind romance, the quirky pair began dating in 2009, and less than a year later, they were wed.
They even got matching tattoos while when they were totally loved up, although the comedian dad-of-one later had his removed.
The marriage lasted 14 months as the Russell Brand filed for divorce just before the end of 2011

6- Robert Ackroyd

After splitting from Russell, Katy began dating Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd. They were seen holding hands at Coachella and hanging out around London together for the first half of 2012.

7- John Mayer

Between 2012 and 2014, the singing duo dated on and off.
During one of their 'on' moments, John Mayer and Katy collaborated on the song Who You Love, but it seems theirs wasn't a match made in wonderland.
But in late 2015, the couple were spotted dining together and the rumour mill started again.
Although it appears they didn' tstart things up again permanently, as Katy soon moved on with a this movie star...

8- Diplo

Perry and the DJ dated for nearly a year before they pulled the plug in March 2015. While neither star offered insight as to why they split, Perry recently suggested to James Corden that their sex life wasn’t the greatest. Asked to rate her former lovers in bed, Perry told the British TV personality that Diplo wasn’t as good as exes Orlando Bloom or Mayer.

9- Orlando Bloom

The Teenage Dream singer is thought to have started dating the Lord Of the Rings star in early 2016.
But nobody could denied the couple's intimate relationship after Katy was spotted sharing a paddle board with the actor as he, ahem, exposed his member.
Alas, just as we were beginning to emotionally invest in the twosome, they called it off in March 2017.

Breaking her silence on the split, she wrote on Twitter: "HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017!
