Highlight of my day - This little boy, probably not much more than one year old, walked up to the counter of my shop, his arm extended and his fist clenched. I thought maybe he was holding something in his hand, so I reached out across the counter and offered my hand, with my palm facing up. But he was too short to reach me (or I was too short to reach him), so he toddled around to the behind the counter where I was sitting, other fist now clenched.
Taking a wild guess, I in turn offered him my closed hand as well, and ... he fist bumped me. His eye lit up and he smiled the best smile I've seen in a long time, then he turned around and with legs too short to bother bending them at the knees, he toddled back out into the store.
Day. Made.
Nice anecdote...some times it truly is the little things. Hope there are many more days like this in your future!
