I don't think you could ever be sure it was safe. While these days you probably have to worry about it being laced with fentanyl the issue we had "back in the day" was that people would step on it meaning they would mix it with something that tasted and looked like coke, but was not coke. Normally this was a product called mannitol, which looks and numbs like coke but is, among other things, a laxative used for babies. This has some obvious ill side effects such as crapping your pants.

It is a young man's game though dude and I don't recommend it for you at all at your age. The last time I did it was not something I planned, I was visiting and old friend in Thailand and he acquired a relative mountain of it. We got all over it on the first night but it just kind of made me feel shaky and bad. I also couldn't get to sleep that first night and on the second day when he and his relative were getting back on it, I opted out. I'm just not the right kind of person for it anymore.

I regret nothing as far as my drug use is concerned though and I never allowed any substances to take over my life. I actually later would discover that using coke to study and then go to a tough exam "jacked" (meaning taking a very large dose) would result in me pulling information from my brain immediately and with confidence and a really tough class from a ballbreaking professor that everyone was worried about, I got a 98% on it and was the first person finished in the classroom. I recall the professor coming in and kind of mocking me because while everyone else was hurridly reading their notes, I was tapping my foot rapidly - because of the coke - and reading a novel. He said something snarky about how I am going to regret not taking the exam seriously and then I friggin aced the thing lol.

These days I don't really even do weed or even drink all that much. It was a phase but not one that I think a person should continue doing their entire life. If you managed to make it this far without doing drugs, just stay that way.

I don't know if it was BASF or 3M, it very well could have been BASF. There were no smart phones and MySpace didn't even exist yet at the point that the nickname was assigned, so we didn't exactly confirm our information. :)
