RE: Analyzing my crazy creams: Skin falling off regularly

in #life9 months ago

I think I overdid it on the running. I am going to take it easier the next time I go, maybe just do more walking than running. I am a bit overweight but not hugely. I have always been big, I just started to notice in photos that my face is a bit more round than I want it to be and like any man in his 40's, I have a bit of a gut. I would like to not have these things.

I'm with you. I have been slowly creeping up in my weight and I am not really sure how to change that. I mean, I know how, but it doesn't seem to be working as well as I had hoped. Typically I do a mix of walking and jogging. I set the incline to 1 on the treadmill and then I walk at 3 MPH for four minutes and then jog at 4 MPH for a minute. Then I drop back to 3 MPH. At the 8 min, 12 min, and 16 min mark I do the jog thing for a minute, then always back to 3 MPH for walking. I haven't really noticed an improvement, but it gets me sweating!

how's your diet though? I read that is most of the battle. I have been focusing a lot on diet the tough thing is to stay off the beers for me and I have been making friends with people that do active stuff instead of just heading to the pubs all the time.

I eat a lot better than I used to when I was younger. My wife does a good job of making sure I eat plenty of fruits and veggies. I only occasionally have red meat now and it's usually only once per week we eat out if that. We only drink on Friday and Saturday night unless we are camping or traveling, and we have been constantly working on portion control the past five years or so.
