RE: Happy 40th Anniversary to Star Wars...the Most Important Movie of My Life

in #life7 years ago

Great post.

The circle is complete for me, I saw Star Wars with my parents for the first time when I was 10. I took my then 9 year old daughter to see the Force Awakens after she'd fallen completely in love with Star Wars.

Here's my brief Hi 5 to the movie that changed my life, if you're interested.

Oh I'm interested!

That is awesome. I am so happy they made sure little girls could connect with the franchise. Its brilliant!

My daughter watched it with me tonight for the, I don't know, 20th time (she's 11) and she was conducting the London Symphony Orchestra during the Battle of Yavin. I got choked up, honestly.

My wife thinks I'm the biggest softie. But, whatever. Star Wars is that movie. It'll never get old or uncool and it will always, always bring out my inner 9 year old.

That's why I can watch the Phantom Menace and love Jar Jar.

Exactly! I agree 100%. Seeing my kids have fun with the prequels changed everything... well almost everything. Still can't stand Jar JAr.

Did you see this post from me I put up last night?

I had not. Just read it. Fantastic post!
