Would you like to read my May fitness challenge report, which is my seventh monthly report because seeing my results may motivate you to do the same?
I started this personal fitness challenge on the first of November last year, and I intended to go as far as I could to lose weight and feel better in my body.
I have been using my phone and the Samsung Health application to record and track my progress every day since.
I started to write my fitness challenge reports on Steemit in November and published one every month. This way I can document my results, see my progress, and be accountable to you and myself.
This challenge consists in doing a 2-kilometer walk and exercising 30 minutes daily (I started with 40 minutes until now), eat healthier and more balanced meals, and drink veggie-fruit juices daily.

That's the first time in my life that I take exercising seriously and after seven months, it is now routine.
I now eat much less meat and consume more veggie-fruit juices, which help a lot in getting results.
If you follow what I do, I believe that you will see good results too.
Let's see my results for this seventh month.
Fitness Challenge - May Report
I am glad to report that I have walked my daily 2 kilometers this month and even more, even if I missed tracking a couple of days.
Let's see what the app is saying for "Walking."
This is when I started in November 2017 and up to April 2018.
This is for May 2018.
I walked 29 days in May in 38 sessions, for a total of 69.22 kilometers in 14 hours and 40 minutes.
In April I walked 64.08 kilometers, in March I walked 68.47 kilometers, in February I walked 62.35 kilometers, in January 69.53 kilometers, in December, 66.59 kilometers and in November 62.26 kilometers.
I didn't track my walks for 3 days when we were in Japan on the 4, 9 and 11 May, but that didn't mean I didn't walk.
In fact, during the ten days in Japan I walked much more than 2 kilometers a day, and didn't track all.
In 7 months I have walked 462.50 kilometers in total and I can't believe it myself.
The most interesting walks this month were, of course, in Tokyo, Japan.
You can read my final post and at the end you will see links to my other 14 posts about our Japan trip: Last Day in Tokyo, Japan!
Let's have a look at my exercise this May.
These are for the 6 months since November 2017.
This is for May 2018.
This is the first month that I skipped several days exercising when being in Japan.
I still have exercised for 11 hours and 52 minutes in May and burned 6,921 calories according to the app.
These are all the days that I missed in Japan.
I used the Hilton Tokyo's fitness room on the first day and not thereafter.
We were outside going to places every day and I was too tired to exercise then. I believe that all the activity I had each day burned as many calories as using the fitness room.

On the May 12, we were back in Bangkok and I resumed my exercises. I decided then to cut from 40 minutes to 30 minutes my exercising time to see if that would impact my results.
Walking, exercising and preparing veggie juices take a lot of time daily and that's time you don't spend with your family, reading books, or work on your business.
That's why these 10 minutes per day, which is 5 hours for one month, will help me to keep up with things I have been behind with in my life.
My weight loss results.
May is a good month because I maintained my weight where I wanted it to be. With a trip abroad at the beginning of the month where I gained 1 kilogram, I had the remaining days to lose all that again.
These are the records for six months from November 2017.
Compared to last month, my minimum weight is up 0.3 kilograms and my average weight is also up 0.2 kilograms.
Now if I look back from where I started in November.
Average weight loss: 80.8 - 76.2 = 4.6 kilograms
Weight loss: 81.4 (max) - 75.5 (min) = 5.9 kilograms
I have been quite stable at 76 kilograms for 3 months now and my results are similar to March.
As you can see below, a week in Japan didn't help, and weight gain was inevitable. I immediately lost that excess the following days we returned.
On the first day back home I came back to my routine, which means juicing, and the extra kilogram was gone in three or four days.
Read this post to see how I did it: Juicing After a 10-Day Vacation in Japan!
I'd like to be below 75 kilograms for my next fitness report in June and as I do not have any trip planned, this seems achievable.
I hope that this May fitness report is useful for you and I welcome your feedback in the comment section below.

Great work and a very detailed post about all of your statistics! (I am kind of a nerd for health stats stats) haha
I heard about an interesting project about another Steemian that pays you to walk? I haven't used it yet and I looked into it a bit (it seems interesting enough). But for someone who walks as much as you do in a month, it may not be a bad thing to look into!
You could get paid as you become more fit! Again, I haven't used it nor do I know how it works but the website is here if you are interested:

Awesome! If you find it useful or have any thoughts at all, I would love to hear about it!
I think it's a good idea, but I can't participate because it's not available in my country.
Why not friend. I am very careful for my fitness. Here you have shown very important matter to keep me fit. Are you a physician? if not, how you have written so important post with valuable data. I want to lose some weight. I think your post help me to so that. Finally I have to say, you are a friendly minded person who wishes best thing for us.
Thank you for your kind comment @sayemsonai. I am not a physician, I just started to exercise and eat/drink more veggies while reducing meat. Everybody agrees that it is a good thing. Doing this every day and tracking results showed me what's working for me and posting a report helps me to continue. I am glad it is useful for you.
Great Work. You are my motivation.
