Hi, here is my post in #colorchallenge. Tuesday Orange. This time, I want to share with you Orange Buddha. To start with, Buddha means “One who has achieved a state of perfect spiritual enlightenment, thereby attaining nirvana”. He was born a prince in Lumbini, near the border of Nepal and India, about 2,600 years ago. His name was Siddharta Gautama. He realized that conditioned experiences could not provide lasting happiness or protection from suffering. After a long spiritual search, through deep meditation, he realized the nature of mind, achieving the state of unconditional and lasting happiness, that is, the state of enlightenment, of buddhahood. This state of mind means to be free from disturbing emotions and shows itself through fearlessness, joy and active compassion. For the rest of his life, the Buddha taught anyone who asked how they could reach the same state. Therefore, He uttered one of his most famous expressions “I teach because you and all beings want to have happiness and want to avoid suffering. I teach the way things are.”
