I will share here a video that really impressed me because it deals in a brilliant way with a topic upon which I struggled a lot during high school and college years:
HOW DO I GET THINGS DONE WITHOUT MISSING OUT THE BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE
I think this is a question that many people face sooner or later in life and yesterday when i found this video I also found confirmation about the answer I gave to myself.
Of course everyone is different but we are all humans and share more or less the same emotions. What i mean is that everyone would agree that going to a gig of your favorite band or playing videogames or whatever is fun stuff while even if you are the most passionate person about knowledge, science etc studying or doing other "serious" stuff can be very
boring.
So we have emotions and memories of fun and joyful experiences which give sense to our lives and on the other hand boring stuff which is, usually, intended to be useful for your future AND ultimately make you joyful as well, but in the future.
So here lies the dilemma :
From my own experience I can say putting these two "styles" together is not easy at all, because, let's be honest, if you truly enjoy yourself and live only in the present it's very difficult you can manage to BUILD a future for yourself and viceversa(boring stuff basically gets in the way when you just want to go out with girls and party)
SO, we get to the point: BALANCE and PRIORITIES
In the video is shown more precisely how you can manage these two and get things DONE while ENJOYING your life-
Interesting video! Lots of things to think about - I know I can definitely work on my work/social media balance! Especially now that I work for myself - no boss telling me to put my phone away lol
