Her Phone Runs Out Of Battery, So She Disconnected Her Grandpa’s Life Support To Charge And Took Photos While He’s Dying

Today’s younger generation a.k.a “The Millenials” were seemed to be strangled with their phones and will do everything to stay connected online through their social media accounts even at the cost of someone else’s life.Just like what this 26-year-old lady who disconnected the life support of her grandfather just to keep her cell phone’s battery up and running.

According to reports, the lady named Ally Louia is the one in charge to look after her grandfather in the hospital that time and her phone’s batter is about to go empty. But since she should not find any socket in the room, she decided to remove one of the sockets connected to the old man’s body to give way for her phone to recharge. What she did not know is that she actually disconnected the socket of the machine extending the life of her dear grandfather.

A few minutes later, medical staffs were furious to find out the state of the old man who terribly went blue due to the lack of connection from the life support.

But instead of feeling remorse, Ally said “They freaked out when they realized that the respirator was turned off. I asked them if there was another socket in the room but they didn’t answer. I think it’s unfair that there was only one socket.”

Ally argued that she needed to charge her phone because her mother asked for the status of the old man and the best thing she could do is to take a photo of him to show his actual condition. When she took the photo she realized that the old man has turned blue but just think that it is due to the Instagram filter she used to take the photo without realizing that her grandfather is turned blue from lack of oxygen because she selfishly plugged the charger of her phone. What’s worse is that Ally is not even showing any signs of regret for her actions, she defended herself by comparing her phone’s battery status to the critical condition of her grandfather.

“Let’s see: my phone was at 1% which can be described as a critical situation. Besides, my mother asked me to text her how my grandpa was doing right after getting to the hospital, so I had to do it.”Good thing hospital staffs came just right in time to be able to save the old man’s life. When her story photo gained criticisms on social media, she even blamed her follower and friends for not giving her a heads up, “People could have also warned me, instead of just tapping ‘like’.”Meanwhile, Ally’s family outraged for her actions but the lady still did not apologize and instead wishes for them to buy her a new phone or some external batteries at least to prevent such incident from happening again.
