Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one's head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no to-morrow. To forget time, to forgive life, to be at peace. - Oscar Wilde
Death is a fare all mortals share.Theres hardly any mortal who doesn't think of death once in a while though a large number have thanatophobia - The fear of death.
The reason many fear death is basically because nobody can truly say what happens afterwards. To many, Death is the absence of life and outside the body, there is an uncertainty if what the afterlife looks like.
Over the centuries several religions have postulated their own theories about what the afterlife is all about. It's so diverse that no one can claim to be an authority over the issue.
One thing all faiths agree on is that death is not an end, rather a transitory point to another life beyond our physical dimension. The soul becomes free of physical encumbrances. The body dies and whithers but there is a rebirth. The human rebirth can be likened to the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly although that transformation is physical.
The human mind is an integral part of the soul and as such, it is infinite. It is ironic that no mortal can truly claim to have a memory of his pre birth life and as such none can project what post death life will be.
Thus,
The real question is not whether life exists after death. The real question is whether you are alive before death. Osho Rajneesh
Basically all that matters is living a fulfilled life, enjoying all it has to offer while writing our own tales on the sands of time.
Beyond death is a life of its own which we can only enjoy when the mind and the soul are in harmony and this is called Inner Peace
