Patience is one art that applies across every ramifications of our lives. There's no way we can do without it for instance, in a growth oriented community.
There's actually no area of life we can't apply this life virtue that seems to be gradually being threatened out of existence today.
Everyone just wants everything to be fast and instant in today's jet age.
We easily and quickly become irritable and irrational at the slightest provocation.
This kind of attitude is one of the factors responsible for the increased tension we find in our communities today.
Individuals, families, organisations... Just everyone is tensed up.
With the virtue of patience however, tension will be doused, people can better tolerate each other, communities can become a better place to live.
I think seeing patience as a virtue is seeing it from a totally incorrect perspective.
Patience is an integral part of the human condition.
We have lost it through life and the speeding up of it -and the tensions added into our lives is because of the loss of patience.
If we start to see patience as a human condition, and something to be reclaimed as our, it empowers us.
It is already ours.
We own it, but have lost it.
The best way to find patience....(imo)
DO a big project, made up of tiny details (building a wall?)
And you MUST complete it.
Enforced, gentle, active repetition, brings patience back home to you....
