Hey guys,
Normally for me, the first Sunday of Advent means cozying up indoors with candles, hot drinks, and thick sweaters. This year, my experience couldn’t have been more different.
I spent December 1st at Nissi Beach in Agia Napa, Cyprus, soaking up the sun and sharing a wonderful day with friends.
Coming from Germany, where December usually means chilly temperatures and grey skies, this felt extraordinary. Sitting on the beach in a T-shirt and swimming in the sea—on the first day of December—was something I’d never experienced before. Sure, there are people who live in warmer climates and enjoy this regularly, but for me, it was a rare and special moment, one I’ll treasure.
Nissi Beach, often crowded and lively during the summer, was peaceful and quiet in the off-season. A few people were around, but compared to the hustle and bustle of summer, it felt almost serene. My friends and I had the perfect setup: plenty of space to relax, a few drinks in hand, and great conversations to fill the day.
This Advent Sunday at the beach was more than just a break from tradition; it was a reminder of how beautiful and unexpected life can be. Sun, sand, and the sea in December—it’s a memory I’ll carry with me for a long time.
Greetings and hear you!
