I found money on the sidewalk today!!
About $50, it was near a mailbox outside of an apartment building.
It feels sort of bad, but there's no way to return it to the rightful owner. So what else? I'm not gonna leave it there and let the next guy get it, lol.
I consider it my reward for walking and not driving a death mobile.
Cars are just so disastrous, literally the biggest threat to your survival on a day to day basis. Whatever your lifestyle is, whether you drive, bike, or walk on the sidewalk, if you think about all the things that could hurt you or kill you today, I'm sure cars are almost all of the pie chart. Which is absurd. We've tamed the planet to be suitable for our needs, but still feel like we need to be our own danger.
We're galvanizing towards a feminine energy and soon enough I think we'll have a transportation system that won't require you to walk or bike if you want to avoid cars. Light rail trains, moving walkways, whatever whatever. It will be fun and clean and safe. And more cost-effective than cars.
Which doesn't mean masculine energy is bad. They're ying and yang. It's just that walking and biking is the real masculine energy. Cars are basically a perversion of masculinity, like buying chickens from the supermarket that other people killed for you. It's not a real masculine expression, it's just toying at those strings to make a few bucks from you.
Real masculine energy and feminine energy are in harmony together.
By biking and walking you opt out of the way it is now, and help usher in the better, balanced, feminine, playful alternatives. And then the world is safe to express your masculine energy (just not the engine revving, misguided energy). Now we can bike and walk and run without worrying about getting crushed by 2 tons of steel.
Peppers were on sale today!
I bought 3. (Two red, and 1 orange. The yellow just wasn't calling me.)
And then I went to Taco Bell.
Very American of me.
Taco Bell is probably gross if you eat meat, but it's GOAT fast food chain for vegans. Their beans and rice are certified vegan, and you can substitute beans for meat in any item. (A lot of items aren't really designed to not have cheese tho and would be lacking, so you want to pick your battles.)
Usually I get a burrito or two and add potatoes to it, and then I have heartburn for a few hours. I didn't feel like going down that road today, so I got 3 regular crunchy shell tacos. Which ends up being just the taco shell and beans and lettuce. But hey.
They forgot to hold the cheese, which is annoying because then it's like I inadvertently caused cheese to be used. They re-made it of course, and she told me I could keep these tacos or give them away. I tried to give them away but everyone looked at me like zombies and didn't get it.
I like when you pass those little libraries:
Normal libraries aren't really needed now that Starbucks lets everyone use their restroom and sit at their tables even without a purchase.
So I vote for just downsizing to these.
her way of making it earlier today, and will probably follow that.Right now I'm off to attempt to make a Thai curry, for myself and @kitzchris. I noticed @iamjamie link to
Sounds like a proper day, son. ;D
Finding money and buying some food - lit!
Well, I guess they were wrong "Money does grow on trees." more precisely: "Money lies on streets." lol
Haha, yes, probably nearly every person would say "Oh, of course, that is mine...". :D
Trust me, you definitely deserved it. You are a good guy.
Bikes > cars
I would definitely have grabbed red and yellow. Red + yellow = orange ? lol
hey, looks like your comment got upvoted by 'gentlebot', lol click on it and check it out, looks like it's a bot that combs thru everything for good comments.
I always told you that you seem kind and gentle!
lol, I'm not sure it works like that with peppers 😆
tbh I probably wouldn't pass a taste test of what color is what anyways and could have just picked randomly
Lmfao, "gentlebot" haha - a real gentleman, ahh I mean gentlebot lol
Well, I really do not understand why he liked my comment; however, I am glad that he did. I do appreciate that.
What does that mean "SEEM"? :P jk, haha I am kind and gentle as long as circumstances permit.
:D
Yes, probably me too.
well, I only know you through a few blargs and comments... so it's a "seems" sort of judgment
I'm confident in the judgment, but it's a SEEM :p
ya, it's good to fire back when the circumstance calls for it. kind and gentle people can have a spine too. that's part of being kind and gentle.. you keep the bad actors in check. can't be a pushover or the world gets less gentle.
confirmed gentle.
Haha, word.

True!
Baaaaaah :D
I don't know about that, I feel like a wizard is never behind nor is he ahead.. or something like that :p
That's definitely worth walking for! I figure someone dropped it after doing a drug deal so it's good you found it.. 😎👍
hahaha! howdy partner. I didn't even think of that, but I like it 😃 we'll go with that
Your comment about cars is seriously true, I mean don’t get me wrong I love em, but I was in a serious car crash the other week and am lucky to be here - it really puts a whole new perspective as to whether we should all be in control of a giant metal death trap 😅
ya bro! when you get hit and stuff you start to have a new perspective I guess hehe.
it's really sad, I feel like it might not be a stretch to say most people know someone who has been badly hurt by a car. glad you're okay, that's scary.
I hear you tho on liking them. I feel like there could be a way to keep them as a thing that's fun. like long distance roads in between towns that you can drive on if you want to. but then within more urban areas, woosh wooooosh light rail trains and sliding walkways and zip lines and bike paths. and hey prob go karts too! can downsize cars to something safer and it's prob just as fun.
Maybe we’ve got to have them all on a safe monorail type deal , like the transport train used in Wakanda🤔🤔
ya!! monorail with spaces to bike and walk!
Nice! $50 is no small change.
Interesting thoughts on cars, bikes, walking and the ying and yang energy. What are your thoughts on self-driving cars?
I know right! I was like magnetically drawn to the money and scooped it right up, and then it was like oh hey this is a legit score.
self-driving cars, all for 'em!
tho I think it's still not ideal. if we were to draw up a plan from scratch, I don't think we'd think of self-driving cars. like, little carts attached to the ground or to the side walls or something that slide along down the streets seems like essentially the same thing, and a lot cheaper and you could probably make it super green. (you can even power it by peddling, and people can work as peddlers and they collect the fees.)
so imo it's in the right direction and better across the board and pretty much gets rid of all the big problems, but I'd expect it's palatable to entrenched interests like oil and car manufacturers more than it's the end game ideal way to do it.
thanks for asking! great question. they seem to be getting closer to a reality from what I understand. seems like a solid stepping stone in the right direction.
I would feel much better about self driving cars, if they were "unhackable."
This puts some great visions in my mind... I like the idea of peddlers earning the fare. It's like, ohh man I'm hungry, guess I could go peddle around town for a while and have a nice big meal afterwards. Super interesting thought.
ya!! thanks. glad you liked it. I was happy with that thought too when it came to me lol.
it makes a lot of sense to me, like transportation naturally does use man power. not everyone is physically able (or willing) to do it, so you outsource it to the people most willing, and have communal transportation that way. but it's still in harmony with the idea that someone is peddling commensurate to how much transportation there is.
some people worry about jerbs as automation becomes better (which is a misguided concern, but regardless..) and simultaneously worry about the environment. seems like there's a lot of overlap where one actually fixes the other, as long as you're willing to consider big changes.
Interesting. I hadn't thought about that.
The motivation to hack them would just be to cause destruction? Or is there something else to gain too?
I guess kidnapping would be the bigger thing besides just randomly causing crashes. kidnap/ransom. Interesting.
I guess maybe cars just have to go :p
For the most part I've cut "fast food" from my diet, but I really do miss taco bell. New Zealand could use some "wanna be" Mexican, fast food.
Mexican food in general is just a big let down here. Nine out of ten Mexican joints are rubbish, and once you finally find a decent place it's like $20 for a couple of small tacos.
I'm always looking to see the floor to see if I can find some money, also entertains me while I walk for long periods.
is that or to abstract myself in my fantasy world while I walk, it's quite funny if we see it from the creative point of view.
haha ya it's worth keeping your eyes open for! I'm happy to find a quarter, $50 was unexpected lol
So it was a Jackpot day!
Did you use the $$$ to buy veggies because (I know a couple of guys who would have bought weed and told me that it was veggies that they bought)
:-) just kidding.
I liked the little free library concept the best. It's actually quite epic!
Great post, full of vibrancy. Followed!
hahaha :p
nah I already had weed so I really bought veggies :p
I haven't smoked tho, that's why my vibe is so high! I shrink into Netflix and YouTube when I smoke lol.
Thanks for stopping by, and followed you back!
def a jackpot day. almond butter was on sale too and there was a coupon. the double discount. usually I'm too cheap and settle for peanut butter.. but not today
I get why spent big on the almond butter (my personal best buy is peanut butter too) :D
....and thanks for the follow!
Nice found! I say keep it. There was one time when I went to purchase a bus ticket. I was the only one there, it was too early. When I bought the ticket I went outside. Right in front of the entry I found $100.00 bill. I felt really lucky. When I put it into my wallet, because there was no one around, I found out I was missing $100.00 bill. So it was me who actually lost it and then luckily found it lol. That’s what actually happened.
When it comes to transportation, I would rather stick to walking instead of having some kind of moving sidewalks. What would we become without any exercise.
I’ve never actually seen this kind of little library. Looks outdated though 😃.
BTW: good luck 🍀 to make a Thai curry!
Ahahaha that's too funny about the $100.
hmmmm.. but no one says you can't walk backwards against the direction it's moving and get even more exercise, so it would be perfect for you 😛
there could be different strips that move at different paces (maybe some really fast ones with seats too). I like exercise too, but if it's replacing cars, there needs to be an option for people who aren't as physically able. moving walkway is still way less lazy than cars anyways.
thanks!! it came out nice. I had my doubts but then it worked.
I recommend that recipe if you're ever interested.
That's actually what happened to me.
I saw like 10 euros at the bus station, and no one was around.
I wanted to take it, but I was afraid someone was watching, and they had been waiting for me to take it.
And then, the next person that came there saw the money, and took it.
I knew it wasn't their money.
I felt so stupid, lol.
By the way, love Mexican food.
One of my favourites for sure.
hahaha ya, you gotta just take it.
it does feel a little silly when you know they'll be looking at you, but you just take it. I'd probably shrug and try to exaggerate a smile or something like that in that spot, I'd take it and just own the fact that "ya, I took it".
You'd be dumb if you didn't take it (like me, lol).
Also, I was a kid... And no one would do anything to a kid if he took that money.
ahah ya, rookie mistake, was a learning experience for you.
You're a lucky man hehehe, that's the positive of walk you never know what will you find, that taco looks healthy and tasty. Regards
ya you just never know what's out there! in a car you're blocked off. the only times you interact with the outside world are when you crashed into it, lol.
Nothing like receiving the unexpected. That was a nice windfall. Good luck to you.
thanks @trendygran! thanks for stopping by. nice windfall indeed.
took a little peak at your blog. best of luck staying ahead of the grandkids ;)
if you mixed in some pics of yourself and maybe the occasional video on d.tube, you can really showcase yourself nicely! not many loving grandmothers around here. people are visual :p
good luck to you too!!
Hi full-measure, thanks for the upvote. I am totally dumb at making videos
Will have to get the kids together to show them off.
First thing first, I think it's wrong to pick a money from the floor and make it yours, it's better you make it known that it's a lost money and put it in a clear view place whereevrrybody might see it, just think about it, the owner might be tracing back the step taken.
It's good to be a vegan, but in this part of the world is exponentially expensive, just when you thought you're try a vegan then you'll know someone has poison your food with an animal supplements 😁 😁.
eh, there's little to no chance they're on their way back. even if they realize they lost it AND think they have a guess where, it won't be immediate and pretty rare that they'll end up being the person who claims it.
seems like just blind guilt, unless there were actually a way to return it to the real owner.
I'd rather take it and not feel bad and assume that's what people will do if I'm the one who drops money.
balking at $50 on the sidewalk gets expensive too, I'll use the same excuse
(and my thing doesn't rape and kill animals and hurt the planet, but hey we're all critics I guess)
